The UFC and its CEO Dana White have finally put fans’ minds at ease with the latest promo for Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler! The MMA world was driven to a frenzy when the June 3 press conference in Dublin was abruptly canceled just 12 hours before it was supposed to happen. As such, speculation and rumors swirled in fighting circles, regarding the possible cancellation of the June 29 event, as well.

While McGregor and the UFC apologized to the fans for the press conference cancellation, they didn’t clarify why the event fell through. In his response on X, McGregor had stated, “In consultation with the UFC, today’s press conference was canceled due to a series of obstacles outside of our control.”

In another post on social media, following the news of the press conference cancelation, McGregor shared a picture of himself in what appeared to be the doctor’s office, sparking even more concerns about the fight being in jeopardy due to a possible injury sustained by ‘The Irishman’.

However, with the release of the official promo for UFC 303 on the UFC’s YouTube channel, the fandom can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the fight still appears to be on track. In his appearance on ‘The Pivot Podcast’, Michael Chandler had also addressed the issue as he stated, “The fight’s happening. Obviously where we are right now – yeah, there’s a lot of speculation. But the fight is on. June 29th, it’s happening.As such, the fans took to the comments section of the UFC 303 trailer to indicate their relief at finally having some clarity about the situation. Fans seemed excited as the UFC and Dana White release teaser for McGregor vs Chandler fight

One fan highlighted the excitement and anticipation for Conor McGregor’s return in a simple yet honest response as the MMA world has been waiting for ‘The Notorious’ to return to competition since 2021.

“ITS NOT CANCELLED WE ARE SO BACK”

McGregor’s social media antics where he was spotted enjoying himself at his ‘Black Forge Inn’ was used by another fan to take a jab at the Irishman as they claimed that the fight was in jeopardy due to his “hangover”.

“Well I guess it’s happening then? Connor must have woken up from his hangover”

A particular scene from the promo when McGregor suffered a fracture to his leg at UFC 264 was referenced by one member of the community as evidence of his toughness and him being a “true mad man”.

“Conor screaming while getting loaded into the ambulance… the adrenaline is gone… he is a true mad man”

Some fans, on the other hand, demanded to know when the press conference will take place, highlighting McGregor’s appeal on the microphone and his ability to captivate audiences while simultaneously building hype for his fights.

However, a contrasting opinion was also shared by one fan who claimed that till both men were inside the cage on fight night, they would still be cautious about their excitement for the event.
