The combat sports community has been eagerly waiting for the return of Khamzat Chimaev back into the Octagon. Dana White added to the suspense when he dropped the news of the fighter moving to the middleweight division. The wait was finally over when Kamaru Usman called out the ‘Chechen Wolf’. Without a doubt, the world of mixed martial arts burst out in excitement after Chimaev apparently agreed to fight the former welterweight champion on Twitter.
However, the UFC president did not seem to be in favor of the fighters. Despite White‘s disapproval, the Swedish mixed martial artist recently released a confident text aimed at his next probable opponent on Twitter. He claimed that Kamaru Usman has gotten old, and it was his time to dominate the Octagon now.

Khamzat Chimaev sends a message to Kamaru Usman
Recently, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ called out the ‘Borz’ for a fight in an interview with ESPN MMA. He believed that it would be “the biggest funnest most intense fight.” Chimaev then took to Twitter and apparently agreed to meet the Nigerian fighter inside the Octagon. He tagged Usman and put a black tick mark against him. Doubtlessly, the act stirred up the entire UFC universe.

Later, Chimaev decided to raise the excitement. He went to Twitter and sent a message to Usman. He declared that although the former UFC welterweight champion was one of the best fighters and Chimaev respected him, he was indeed getting old. Thereafter, he declared that it was his time now.
Chimaev tweeted, “@USMAN84kg I respect you, you were one of the best, you know you’re old bro, and you know it’s my time”, followed by a ‘100’ emoji. Surprisingly, White wasn’t particularly pleased with the call out by Usman.
