In episode#1960 of the JRE, the host sat down with fellow comedian Andrew Schulz, and the duo dove into the fascinating topic of the Mongol dynasty and the impact of Genghis Khan. As they reflected upon the trajectory of Mongol rule and how it came to a dismal end, Rogan drew a striking parallel to present-day American society. He believes that the US currently thinks they are invincible and almighty, but the Mongol takeover and fall show serve as an eye-opener.

Rogan stated, “They’re just so tough over there. It’s just crazy that they took over the whole world at one point in time and then it all went away. But that’s a lesson for America to learn.”

He continued, “Because Americans have this idea that we are the centerpiece of the military of the world. This is it. ‘This is the baddest f**king army to ever exist, bro. No one’s gonna stop us.’ But the reality is, every single civilization that has been in control has gone under. They all go under.”

To provide yet another reality check, the 55-year-old Rogan also mentioned how China poses a real threat to America.

How China can be a threat to the US?

Later in their conversation, the two delved into a conspiracy angle. Schulz pointed out that despite not being the mightiest, the US possesses nuclear power, unlike the Mongolians or any civilization that fell through. Rogan agreed, but he also highlighted the slow burn that China could pose as a threat to the US. This conspiracy angle to the conversation intrigued the two comedians, and they delved deeper into the topic.

“The problem is, if we go out, we go out ‘ugly’. But unless China and they slowly dismantle our power grid and slowly pollute our country, with like, bombing chemical factories. And do it slow, over a long period of time,” said the 55-year-old.

He further suggested that China might not do anything significant in one go, but they could take a slow and steady approach to achieve their goals. “You know, cyber warfare, they would start hacking into Google servers, Amazon servers, financial disruption, crash power grid. Do it slow, do it over decades, you got plenty of time. As long as you don’t nuke the United States first, they’re not going to nuke you… If anybody is going to be is going to be a first bomber, it’s not going to be us.”
