Francis Ngannou is going to defend his UFC heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane in one of the most anticipated fights at UFC 270. ‘The Predator’ won the heavyweight belt back in March when he knocked out Stipe Miocic at UFC 260.
However, he hasn’t fought since then, because of which the UFC decided to go ahead with an interim title match. At UFC 265, ‘Bon Gamin’ took on Derrick Lewis for the belt and finished him in the third round.

Now the title unification bout is set to happen and Chael Sonnen believes it’s going to be the biggest heavyweight fight of all time. Ngannou and the UFC are currently in a contract dispute and that makes the story interesting.
Sonnen said, “I believe by the time Francis gets in there with Gane. I think when this promotion is done, when we get excited, when we all get told this story over the next three weeks. It’s going to be the biggest heavyweight fight of all time. Not the biggest fight of all time. It’s not going to be UFC 100, it’s not going to be Conor McGregor.”

“I think it’s going to be the biggest heavyweight fight of all time. It is for sure the most interesting. It is for sure the most compelling, it for sure comes with the most at stake here. Where Francis’s contract stands and what Francis wants to do within the organization as the champion, whether he wins or he loses. He brings those pressures with him.”
“That story alone is better than any heavyweight story I’ve ever been told. And I’m not even starting the story of this fight,” he added.

Dana White recently appeared on THE FIGHT with Teddy Atlas and addressed the situation. He revealed that he bumped into Ngannou at dinner and had a good conversation with him.
The UFC President said, “I think Francis has been misguided by some people who aren’t very bright. That doesn’t help either, when you got some people behind you who have no f***ing clue what they’re talking about.”
