

While legendary boxer Mike Tyson is famous for his boxing matches, there is yet another thing that fans know him for. He used to keep pet tigers. In a recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, Tyson spoke about his experience of owning tigers.

When Joe Rogan asked Tyson, “Did you watch Tiger King?”, Tyson had a lot to say about Joe Exotic- the host of the series.
He said, “That’s a very interesting guy. … He has so much of a, one of those, what do you call those? God complex, you know? This guy’s in control. He had one of his workers sacrifice their arm and still go to work and say, ‘Hey, I’m working for charge’. … that’s that God period, that’s that God mentality. … God complex.”

He further spoke about the difference between him and Joe Exotic. He said, “It’s all for profit. There’s nothing I would love, I love the cats … I’m risking getting eaten by these guys. These guys put them in cages and but I sleep with them. I sleep in my bed with them. And this guy keeps them in cages.”
Both the personalities further spoke about the number of tigers in captivity in Texas and compared the numbers to those found in the wild. The boxer later revealed that he has had four tigers throughout and owned three of them at the same time.

Tyson also revealed that he was bitten by one of his big cats and had to get seven stitches.

Joe Rogan on Tigers
While ‘Iron Mike’ is a big cats enthusiast, this is not the first time the podcaster has engaged in a discussion about tigers. In an older episode with his guest Robert Oberst, Rogan discussed several things about Texas that he loved.

Soon both started speaking about tigers. The UFC commentator shared a story about how a tiger was found in a cage in an abandoned house in Texas. As a result, it looks like Joe Rogan surely is intrigued by big cats.
