Derrick Lewis took to Twitter yet again to provide another hilarious moment and added to his ever-increasing collection of humorous instances. ‘The Black Beast’ kept a close eye on the important main event clash at UFC Fight Night 184 in his division between Alistair Overeem and Alexander Volkov.
Volkov demolished ‘The Demolition Man’ with a spectacular walk-off knockout. But somehow, Lewis managed to score the fight a draw. Of course, it was just a troll on Lewis’s part. He was just enjoying the fight and the aftermath with the fans.

There is no doubt that Overeem is past his prime. He certainly looked sluggish, and his dreams of fighting for the UFC gold now looks far-fetched. On the flip side, Volkov has set himself up for a showdown against a top contender with his sensational win.
‘Drago’ has now moved on to 7-2 in the promotion. He is currently on a 2-fight win streak after dropping a decision to Curtis Blaydes last year. ‘The Black Beast‘ has been the other man to hand the Russian a defeat in the organization as he knocked out Volkov in dramatic fashion at UFC 229. After the bout, he provided a golden post-fight interview moment.
This was the 4th time Volkov headlined a UFC fight card in his nine-fight stretch. He has added some legends of the heavyweight division to his victims’ list already.

Derrick Lewis fights Curtis Blaydes next
Lewis is currently on a 3-fight winning streak. He knocked out Aleksei Oleinik in a spectacular manner in his last outing in 2020. The knockout artist will have a stern test in his hands as he faces decorated wrestler Curtis ‘Razor‘ Blaydes in the next Fight Night card on February 20th.

The heavyweight duo will clash in a 5-round main event. Wrestling is not something Lewis flourishes upon. So, it’s not tough to guess what game plan will Blaydes rely on in the fight.

But, it only takes one shot for Lewis to put his opponent to sleep. Volkov certainly knows that first hand and ‘Razor’ Blaydes will have to be careful of the same.
Can Lewis deliver yet another memorable tweet/post-fight interview in two weeks’ time?
