Submissions are an essential part of mixed martial arts. A lot of submission moves have never been used more than once in a professional fight. There are many rare submissions seen in professional fights, including the Peruvian Necktie, Banana Split, Omoplata, and Hammerlock.

One fan hilariously commented that the submission move looked like something from the ‘Never Back Down’ movie, which was based on mixed martial arts.

It is most unusual to see such moves in real matches, though. Former military veteran-turned-MMA fighter, Gerald Meuse, also displayed an unusual Twister submission move at his fight in Cage Titans 57. He administered the rare choke submission to end the duel pretty quickly. MMA is evolving every day. This will not be the last time we witness something like this, considering the variety of fighting styles in the sport.
