The long-time boss of the UFC let it be known that a Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier trilogy fight was in the works. The aforementioned 155-pound fight was the headliner for UFC 257 and saw a shocking upset in favor of Poirier. Since McGregor’s defeat, there’s been speculation as to whether the third fight would take place.
“They both want it. When you got two guys that want the trilogy as bad as those two do, you try to make it happen. It will happen this summer.”

With a timeline placed for the summer, it’s safe to say that both men will have begun their preliminary preparation. Not to mention, rumors are circulating that Conor McGregor is already in camp and gearing towards the trilogy fight.
