Noche UFC gave us some of the most exciting fights of the year. However, there was no shortage of controversy. The main event saw a controversial scorecard in the final round with 10-8, which became a major debate in the MMA community. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor shared a tweet explaining what a 10-8 score really looked like.

The rematch between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko did not disappoint the fans. It was an entertaining back-and-forth fight, but many believed that ‘Bullet’ was the better woman that night. However, the fight ended in a split draw with a 10-8 score in the final round. As such, Conor McGregor recalled his fight against Nate Diaz to explain that unprecedented scorecard.

‘The Notorious’ has been out of action for over two years. Nevertheless, he’s been active on social media. This time he tweeted about one of his fights against former UFC fighter Nate Diaz. Conor McGregor stated that he had dropped the Stockton native once during the first round and twice in the second. So he wondered if he should have got the 10-8 as well. He said, “Was round 1 where I dropped Nate once, and round 2 where I dropped Nate twice, scored 10-8s?”

Regardless of asking others for their opinion about the scoreline, McGregor answered his question himself. He claimed that he should have gotten the 10-8. “They shoulda been, it was a cake walk on points,” said the former double champion. Moreover, after the Noche UFC fiasco, some reports claim that Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) judges will receive some kind of special training. Let us take a look at that front.

NSAC to set up a training schedule for judges

Mike Bell‘s score of 10-8 has caused a massive stir in the MMA community. Even a resurfaced video from two years ago saw Dana White mention that a 10-8 score for a round is when one fighter could not do anything to his opponent and got dominated. As such, combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani recently tweeted that the NSAC is going to take the initiative following the controversial end to Noche UFC.
