Among a long list of passions, Joe Rogan is also a motorhead. The color commentator owns an envious collection of cars and is a proud owner of luxury rides such as the Tesla Model S and Porsche 911 GT3 RS. While the famed podcaster initially struggled and commuted through public transport, he couldn’t help but admire the charm of owning a car. He was enthralled when he laid hands on his first car, a 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle, a car that meant more than a ride to him.

The 55-year-old recalled how an average high schooler had to ride a bus to school, with cars being a rare commodity. In addition, he admitted having a car could be an indicator of a multitude of factors and one could attach different meanings to it.

Rogan told John Hennessey in Ep. #1982 of JRE, cars represented freedom to him. He said, “There is something about cars that I guess it cause when I was a kid, it represented freedom, right? Cause when you are in high school you didn’t have a car. You had to ride a bus.”

On the other hand, Hennessey listed other variables, such as “status” and “chicks”.

The podcast host readily agreed to both and continued, “Chicks for sure. It’s really more impressive for guys than for girls. The kind of cars I like, girls like, this f**king thing stinks. Smells like gas.”

Earlier in the conversation, the former Fear Factor host amusingly admitted he was grateful for technological advancement that helped him in his rides with his daughter.
