The UFC Fight: Thompson vs Holland took place at Amway Center, Orlando and the card featured exciting matchups. Although the featherweight fight involving Darren Elkins and Jonathan Pearce went the distance and got decided on the judges’ scorecard, the face of Elkins might tell a different story.

What happened in the fight at UFC Orlando?

Coming into the fight with a 4-win streak, Pearce outperformed his opponent in every dimension of the fight. Notably, a ‘JSP’ fight stats such as scoring 100+ significant strikes, and a ground control time of over 3 minutes itself reveal how the fight would have panned out.

Not only did the 30-year-old fighter outbox the UFC veteran on his feet, but he also took the fight to the ground toward the end of the second round. Following this, Elkins took substantial damage, and the fountain erupted on his face in the third round.

Despite constant appeals from the commentators, the referee didn’t stop the fight, and the fight saw the last bell ring. However, Elkins seemed to enjoy the tough fight he had.
