Back in January, at Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony, an unusual event took place. What was it, you ask? Well, Conor McGregor not only met Jake Paul and Logan Paul but also took a candid photo with them, squashing any previous beef they had. The photo sent shockwaves through the MMA community, as McGregor had previously announced plans to fight one of the Paul brothers—but the picture suggested a different story. Dillon Danis, who was in the midst of an ongoing rivalry with the Paul brothers, was utterly shocked when he saw it. Months later, the Jiu-Jitsu fighter came forward to share his thoughts.
While having a conversation with Ariel Helwani, Dillon Danis was asked about how he felt when he witnessed his friend getting comfortable with his rival, to which ‘El Jefe’ stated, “At the time, yeah, remember I was upset. I’m not going to throw two bones, but I mean, yeah, I was upset. Maybe I over—not overreacted—but like, he posted some stuff on his story. The story just kind of felt like, I don’t know, I was upset.”
Talking about his relationship with Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis emphasized that it hurt him due to the fact that he was not expecting such betrayal from his friend, especially during the crucial time of the lawsuit. However, despite that Danis assured himself that McGregor had to do it as they were at a professional and political event, “So that’s why I couldn’t—I had to be, you know—obviously, they’re in the Trump thing, so he can’t be too crazy.”

He might have convinced himself that it was just a professional event, but external forces disrupted his peace of mind when his close aide mocked Danis, especially since Conor McGregor attended Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony alongside the Paul brothers. “I went to the gym, and the young kids in the gym were like, “Yo, your boy [ __ ], like, he’s hanging with your enemies. How do you feel about that when you had his back?” And like, everybody was just going at me, going at me.

He further added, “I think I kind of got in my own head, and I didn’t talk to him at the time. I said this when I was in Manchester—I said, like, you know, this shouldn’t be taken to social media. I didn’t post anything about it directly, and we should talk about it as friends, you know. And actually, we did, and it went really well. Everything’s good.”
Talking about the lawsuit Logan Paul filed against him, ‘El Jefe’ claimed he was particularly hurt because Paul has been trying to destroy his family through legal action. He added that since Conor McGregor knows how it feels, he should have understood. “That’s why it kind of hurt, like you’re kind of laughing and giggling with a guy who is really f**king ruining my life.”
Well, Dillon Dani’s words did make sense as Conor McGregor is a man of business, and as his fight talks with Logan Paul were going on at that time it was just natural that he spent time with them. Interestingly, the entire interaction was not that friendly as well.

When Conor McGregor challenged the Paul brothers at the ceremony
Conor McGregor is yet to enter the combat sports world after his last exodus due to a shin injury. Amidst this, the fighter has already called our multiple fighters and the Paul brothers are just another name in the growing list of ‘Mystic Mac’s opponents. After being all friendly with the brothers on the bus, McGregor called them out when they confronted each other.
“It’s all sweet here, yeah? You kept your mouth shut, you did. I thought we were gonna get the fight going? You’re very quiet. You’re giving all this Dana this, Dana that – you’re f*cking controlled by the WWE as well, bro. … Bring it home for me,” said McGregor as he induced Logan Paul to take the fight decision.

He further added, “Here’s the deal, I’m gonna slap the head off the two of yous, and KSI,” McGregor said just inches away from Jake and Logan. “All three. … Side jobs. A little side job, yeah? You can’t even do your main job, how you gonna do a side job?” Logan quipped in a witty response. “… It’s crazy being on a bus with you. If there’s a dolly it would be going through a window.”
