Derrick Lewis is all set to face Ciryl Gane at the UFC 265 event. This fight will be for the interim UFC Heavyweight championship, therefore both fighters would give it their all to win the title. Lewis last competed in the Octagon back at UFC Vegas 19, ‘The Black Beast’ faced Curtis Blaydes and won via a second-round KO.

This was Lewis’s fourth consecutive victory, earning him the title shot. However, as Ngannou wasn’t available to fight in August, a fight with Gane for the interim title was set. Lewis had earlier competed for the UFC title when he faced Daniel Cormier at the UFC 230 event.
