The UFC world was excited to see former Lightweight champion Conor McGregor return to the Octagon after a long time away from the UFC. He was slated to face his old TUF rival Michael Chandler who is a fighter of great clout and skills. However, that fight fell through when Conor McGregor failed to join the USADA pool. But a new super-fight made its way onto the board and this one is truly a big one.
Twitter CEO and owner of Tesla Motors Elon Musk and Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg have been exchanging tweets recently. Musk called out Zuckerberg for a ‘cage match’ at the ‘Vegas Octagon’ and the Facebook owner accepted this challenge. Musk is excited with the idea of Joe Rogan officiating the match and UFC president Dana White has nominated himself to promote the event. In the middle of all this, McGregor’s opponent in his recently called-off match, Michael Chandler picked his favorite in the Billionaire’s fight.

The world cannot talk about anything else at this moment. With the world’s richest man calling out the owner of Meta, who is trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, who knows what the outcome of this match could be? Fighters like Jon Jones and Georges St-Pierre have offered to help out Zuckerberg and Musk, respectively. Other fighters have also jumped on the bandwagon, hoping to get a piece of the action.
Recently, Michael Chandler spoke on this matter and picked who he thought could walk away as the winner.
“No matter where their skills are, it all depends on… when that cage door closes – and I know from first-hand experience. When that cage door closes it’s all about composure. It’s all about heart rate. It’s all about cardio but not cardio like you’ve trained a lot so therefore you’re cardio is high.” said Chandler, analyzing what could be the difference maker. “It’s all about controlled cardio. Controlling your heart rate, controlling your mindset. Controlling what’s going on inside of your mind, inside of your heart, which then translate in… translates into your body“, added the seasoned fighter who has tussled with Justin Gaethje, Dustin Poirier, and more.
Talking about the advantages that Musk and Zuckerberg have, respectively, Chandler said, “Skills, Zuckerberg wins that big time. Size, Elon wins that big time. But the question is who would be able to show up on Fight Night?“.
In the end, after careful analysis, Michael Chandler let his fans know of his decision. “I still think I have to go with Mark Zuckerberg.“, concluded McGregor’s old rival.
