Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira have formed one of the most competitive rivalries in the sport. Along with being competitive and evenly matched, the fighters have made the feud entertaining too. Both fighters are insistent on having a final say in their squabbles. The funny banter outside of the octagon has made the rivalry special among fans; especially after he made fun of Pereira’s son.

This time Adesanya responded to the controversy that had popped up after his win at UFC 287. ‘Stylebender’ was criticized for rubbing the victory in his opponent’s face, but stated that it was Pereira who has not “let it go.

The two-time UFC middleweight champion did not hold back from making a case for himself through a recent Twitter post. Adesanya shared images of posts wherein Pereira trolled the UFC champion.

Israel Adesanya wrote in the video, “Alex started this. He didn’t let it go. Someone scroll on this page, see how many posts he’s made about me and what the oldest one is…”

‘Stylebender’ also shared a fan’s comment that supported his stance against ‘Poatan’. Furthermore, Adesanya also wrote in the next frame of the video, “I only scrolled back to 2018.”

The UFC middleweight champion shared posts that Pereira had shared after defeating Adesanya. Now that ‘The Last Stylebender’ took back the middleweight belt, another former rival has his eyes set on the gold.

Robert Whittaker is biting his lips after seeing Adesanya beat Pereira

The former UFC middleweight champion is more motivated than ever to face his rival ‘Stylebender’. Whittaker added that he wants to have a go at Adesanya for the third time. Despite losing in both their fights, ‘The Reaper’ still has the drive to prove it to the world inside the octagon.

Whittaker said, “I want to fight Izzy [Adesanya] again. I really want to fight him specifically… I didn’t realize how much I wanted to beat him in particular until it could have gone another way.”

Robert Whittaker will be looking for the charm that Adesanya has while facing Pereira for the fourth time. Despite losing all the previous bouts, ‘Stylebender’ cleaned up ‘Poatan’ with a vicious knockout. ‘The Reaper’ will hope for a similar outcome if he faced Adesanya next.
