The UFC pound for pound rankings has rearranged again. After UFC 263, the pound for pound rankings has been released with Israel Adesanya climbing up from his fourth position to number three. Replacing his teammate, the Flyweight champion Alexander Volkanovski who drops down to number four.
‘The Last Stylebender’ fought and won his latest fight against ‘The Italian Dream’ Marvin Vettori. This was a Middleweight title fight, which was featured as the main event of the evening. This marked ‘Izzy’s’ twenty first victory in his mixed martial arts career. The win ultimately helped him to rise up in the pound for pound rankings.
The UFC Lightweight champion Charles Oliveira finds himself at number ten from his previous position of number eleven. His win over the former title challenger Michael Chandler certainly got him up in the rankings.

Following Oliveira’s rise, the Aussie Robert Whittaker has earned the number eleven spot. After losing to Adesanya at UFC 243, ‘The Reaper’ is on a three fight winning streak in the Middleweight division. He defeated three top ten fighters which has ultimately improved his pound for pound rankings.
The former Flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo is the only guy who is removed from the rankings. Previously Figueiredo was at the number ten position. But after his defeat to the new champion Brandon Moreno, ‘God of War’ has been replaced by the new entry of Moreno himself.

Brandon Moreno is the only new entry in the rakings appearing at number twelve. Else everyone is at the same spot with Jon Jones still at number one and Kamaru Usman at number two. This list of ranking is yet to appear on the official UFC ranking’s website.

ESPN ranking has Kamaru Usman at number one position above Jon Jones. Kamaru Usman has a record of 19 wins with one loss whereas Jon Jones has 26 victories and 1 defeat to his name. It’s a debatable topic as Jones clearly has more victories to his fighting resume. One reason for Usman topping ‘Bones’ could be that Jones has remained inactive since February 2020. Whereas ‘The Nigerian Nitghtmare’ has fought three times in the same amount of time.
