UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, took to Twitter recently to share a teaser about Halloween. Adesanya imitated the famous character from ‘A Nightmare on Elm street’, Freddy Krueger. Krueger was a serial killer with a gloved hand with a scissor in it.
“Follow your dreams. But if you see me… RUN!!! Freddy Krueger looking ass…,” wrote Adesanya in an ironic post. Krueger used to kill his victims in their dreams. That prompted their deaths in the real world too. Wes Craven was the creator of this fictional character.

Needless to mention, ‘Stylebender’ has chosen quite the character as his theme for Halloween. There have been several legendary actors who have portrayed Krueger on television.
When is Israel Adesanya back in action in the UFC?
Adesanya last fought at UFC 263 and earned a lopsided decision over Marvin Vettori in what was a rematch between the duo. He is expected to face Robert Whittaker next in yet another rematch. ‘Stylebender’ earned a second-round T/Ko finish at UFC 243 against ‘The Reaper’ to become the undisputed UFC middleweight kingpin.

He has since defended his title 3 times. Two decisions against Yoel Romero, and Vettori, and a spectacular knockout win against Paulo Costa mark his defenses. While he tried to become a two-division champion when he faced Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259, that didn’t quite go according to plan for the Kiwi.
Adesanya suffered his first career defeat in MMA against Blachowicz. However, it’s hard to deny that he is still the best middleweight on the planet. Whittaker, though, will look to level the score in the rematch. Much like Adesanya, ‘Bobby Knuckles’ boasts an impressive record at the 185 lbs division of the UFC. He will be determined to recapture the belt that he once laid claim to.

It will be interesting to see how that fight plays out when the duo eventually shares the Octagon again. As for now, Adesanya is busy impersonating Krueger.
