Israel Adesanya is just over a week away from the middleweight title rematch against Alex Pereira at UFC 287. They will headline the event which will take place at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida. ‘The Last Stylebender’ recently shared an inspirational quote on Twitter.

Adesanya has faced the current UFC middleweight champion three times in his professional fighting career. However, he has failed on all three occasions. ‘Izzy’ is trying not to leave any stone unturned as he moves closer to his fourth, and most probably his final shot at Alex Pereira.

Muhammad Ali was arguably the first fighter who invented trash-talking in combat sports. But he was also known for his words of wisdom and inspiration that he garnered in the course of his life. The quote shared by Israel Adesanya wrote: “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.”

Adesanya also has always maintained his love for the legendary boxer and, just like Ali, ‘The Last Stylebender’ also loves playing the game of verbal and mental war. But this tweet seems apt to the message he received when he lost his first UFC 281 title defense.

The former champion received a message from Team Muhammad Ali after his UFC 281 loss

After losing his first UFC bout against ‘Poatan’, Adesanya received a supportive message from Team Muhammad Ali. He shared a post regarding it on Instagram. The post contained the words spoken by Muhammad Ali after losing his fight against fellow legend Joe Frazier.

Adesanya expressed his happiness after receiving the message. He said, “Got this gift from the greatest of all time’s team. The compliments I got from them about dealing with this weekend filled me with pride.” ‘The Last Stylebender’ added, “Thank you for this gift oh great one. I will always be inspired by your spirit, forever.” It appears Izzy remembered that message and posted the quote from Ali’s book as he inches closer to his title rematch.
