UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya made history with a new branding deal with PUMA. ESPN’s Ariel Helwani broke the news that ‘The Last Stylebender‘ has secured a multi-year shoe and apparel deal with famed sports brand. Not to mention, he has become the first fighter in the sport of MMA to receive a sponsorship from the German corporation.
He will be the figurehead of their Oceania division, with further expansion ready in the pipeline.

The undisputed 185-pound champion took to Twitter and shared his excitement about the most recent partnership. Israel Adesanya has made waves in the UFC, and it seems as though he has no intention of slowing down. He has captured the attention of the fans, promotion, media, and major players in the sports world.

However, ‘The Last Stylebender’ will not be able to represent Puma during his in-cage appearances in the UFC’s octagon. The leading MMA promotion in the world has recently signed an exclusive deal with Venum that will go live from 2021. However, Adesanya will look to take his relationship with Puma to the next level through his various media appearances outside the UFC.
Israel Adesanya: Winds of change
The undefeated fighter is set to build up of his impressive UFC run by defending his world title against Paulo Costa. The duo will face off in the promotions return to Yas Fight Island in Abu Dhabi on September 26. What’s more, the bout is being touted as the “Fight of the Year” by UFC boss Dana White due to the stylistic elements of the fight.
Additionally, both aforementioned fighters have no love lost for each other and are constantly at odds. Their rivalry is sure to be an all-out firefight, and fans have called for a spectacular finish.

Paulo Costa is a forward pushing fighter who thrives to set the pace from the opening moments of the fight. Adesanya, on the other hand prefers to counter punch of the back foot and will look to catch an over-zealous Costa.
