When Israel Adesanya entered the Octagon at UFC 281, the former champion had a resolve to finish what started in kickboxing. However, once again, history prevailed over the resolve. But the loss didn’t dishearten the fighter, and he’s already looking forward to the next fight.

In his UFC 281 post-fight interview, the former middleweight champion talked about his emotions. Further, he also revealed how he was going to handle his title loss.

What did Israel Adesanya say?

The Nigerian fighter took the loss against Alex Pereira with high spirits. After the championship belt exchanged hands, ‘The Last Stylebender’ in his interview, reiterated that he was grateful for his life.

The Auckland resident further pondered about his life and the moment he was going through. Afterward, he called it “f*****g crazy” and then detailed his fight experience. While recalling the stoppage in the fifth round, the middleweight fighter stated, “First thing I said to you refs that I was fine. I was fine because I was still lucid. I was in there. But sh*t happens.”

Similarly, he also posted the same interview clip on his FB account. In addition, he captioned it with a similar humble tone. Also, the former Glory kickboxer emphasized remaining grateful and later on thanked the fans for the energy.

Thus, he captioned, “… And still standing 10 toes deep in my light. Gratitude will be my attitude, through the good, bad, ugly and the beautiful moments in this wild and crazy life.”

With the TKO loss at UFC 281, the 23-2 record holder is now 0-3 against the newly crowned UFC middleweight champion.

Israel Adesanya’s ‘game’s not over’ tweet

The 33-year-old fighter, later on, took to Twitter to express his love for the game. As an avid anime fan, Adesanya made a reference to one of the most popular animes, Attack On Titans. Further, the fan-favorite also referred to the ongoing feud with the Brazilian fighter and called it a war that was not over.

Notably, the ‘City Kickboxing’ team representative also called himself a hunter who was hunted down. The talented MMA fighter had a perfect record in the UFC middleweight division before coming into this fight. Significantly, his sole UFC loss before Nov 12 at Madison Square Garden came when he endeavored to fight in the light heavyweight division.

Thus, Adesanya tweeted, “I LOVE THIS GAME!!! Attacking Titans like this one thrills me!! Another chapter to “Poatan” 🗿. You won the battle yet again, but the war wages on! The hunter now becomes the hunted, the game’s not over 👾”

Similarly, the Tweet could be taken as a hint of his undying hunger. And if the tweet is to be believed, the fans could expect a title rematch somewhere in the immediate future.
