With just a day away from the fight, Israel Adesanya took to his Twitter handle to ask USADA to keep a close eye on every happening at UFC 287, starting from the moment of weigh-ins. He seems unwilling to leave any ‘loopholes’ for his opponent to exploit.

“USADA, monitor us from the moment we get off the scale till we hit the arena on Saturday. Have people take shifts if they have to…no loopholes to jump here,” wrote the 33-year-old.

Fans around the world are eagerly awaiting this clash between Adesanya and Pereira. But nobody is more thrilled than ‘The Last Stylebender’ himself. In a true Israel Adesanya fashion, the 33-year-old fighter showed up wearing a dog collar at the ceremonial face-off for UFC 287. And as unconventional as it may seem, it contains a secret message from him.

Israel Adesanya is known for making the most outlandish choices. And at the UFC 287 press conference, he showed up wearing a dog collar on his neck which raised several eyebrows among the attendees. While it may seem like a bizarre choice, Adesanya later took to Twitter to explain its meaning.

Adesanya wrote, “IYKYK. He got that Dawg in him!!”

Adesanya tweeted that the dog collar symbolizes a key attribute of the character played by Jet Li in the 2005 movie ‘Unleashed’. In the movie, Li’s character is unleashed to attack once the dog collar is removed from his neck. Adesanya seems to have taken inspiration from the movie and is now ready to attack his opponent with full force.
