Dricus Du Plessis just put an end to the debate about who the real African fighter is. He won at UFC 305 against Israel Adesanya and it seems like their animosity has finally ended with the match. Just like DDP showed respect for Izzy and his parents, the same was reciprocated. Adesanya might have lost this battle but he respected his opponent who is also a fellow African fighter.

Adesanya was not salty and he paid his respects to his opponent. Let’s take a look!

The latter even spoke during the post-fight press conference and said that he was ready for a rematch, but still mentioned how he had a lot of respect for his opponent. So it seems like they are prepared for the next chapter, but the hatred is gone. Adesanya posted on Instagram, “I’m happy I got to fight again, appreciate all the energy from yous. Congrats @dricusduplessis, thank you for your honest words and speaking your truth. No matter what, Africa won tonight! DDP, you have the torch…light the fire and inspire!”

On top of that, there has been a new update that the Canadian rapper Drake lost a bet of $450,000. He had decided to bet on Izzy but unfortunately, lost but he’s always faithful to his Nigerian Kiwi fighter. Drake had won one bet of a whopping $2.7 million before.  However, the rift between the fighters subsided.

Since all was well in the UFC world and the beef finally subsided even Joe Rogan was happy. He started his JRE companion show on a high note.

He could start his show on a positive note and the 57-year-old said, “They worked it out [Adesanya and Du Plessis]. This is cool, too.” Adesanya even made the whole ordeal, more fun, and loving by quoting a line from The Wolf of Wall Street. He said, “I’m not f***ing leaving.”

Brian Simpson also gave all the compliments to Izzy fight his impeccable speech after the fights every time. He recalled what the former champion had said after UFC 287. “Let’s not forget Izzy possibly the greatest post-fight speech of all time when he beat Alex. Bro that sh*t gives me chills,” he added.

However, Jaime Vernon noticed that as soon as the fight ended, the Nigerian formal champion removed his gloves. This prompted him to think that he might retire. However, Joe Rogan was not in agreement and said, “He might just be taking his gloves off cos’ the fight’s over.”
