Is Adesanya's reaction to Pereira's accusations justified, or is he just stirring the pot?

UFC world is in an uproar right now not just because of the upcoming fights but also because of an allegation against Alex Pereira. On top of that, people drag Israel Adesanya into the mix wherever it concerns Pereira because the duo has fought four times by now, and ‘Poatan’ holds a 3-1 streak over his opponent. However, this time, Adesanya decided to speak up against the internet trolls and netizens. Though inside the cage they both are fired up, outside the octagon it is all love. They have spoken good words towards each other before as well. This time too, Izzy took a jibe at the fans for dragging him.

While speaking to The Mac Life, Adesanya was asked at The Mac Life about the latest allegations against Alex Pereira and how people always drag Izzy when Pereira is concerned. Both appreciated each other and Izzy even declared once that Pereira was a special fighter. However, people still try to pit them against each other. Pereira is in hot waters because of serious allegations against him and many fans took this as a chance to bring Adesanya into the mix as well.

Adesanya said in response to the latest shenanigans, “Yeah, now people are stupid. A lot of idiots on the Internet but they react to things as if they were me but they have never done not even anything close to what I have done. So they react to things like, if they were in my position, this is how they would react so they are projecting so they can say whatever they want.”

He is going to fight Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 305, and the fight outside the cage is already heated. Both are at loggerheads on who the ‘real African’ is, and this is escalating as the fight comes nearer. The rivalry is a little different from what he had with ‘Pereira’ because both appreciate each other. However, with Du Plessis, it is a bit different, and it seems like the UFC CEO is taking this as a dicey thing for the fight.

As the fight at UFC 305 gets nearer, the trash-talking and feud between the two is also getting heated. In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Adesanya highlighted the problem saying, “Even without Francis being champion, without myself being champion, without Kamaru being champion, he would have never been champion.” Dricus Du Plessis hasn’t been silent either, as he has also time and again taken harsh jibes at the former champion.

With the two fighters often getting into heated exchanges via social media, analysts and fans are predicting an exciting clash at UFC 305. However, Dana White doesn’t echo the same sentiment as he believes that in a big fight every single time that the fighters hit each other at this level, the fight generally ends up “sucking”.

“You know, big fight, every time guys hate each other like this you know the fight usually ends up sucking. But I have a really good feeling this one won’t. And you have one of these situations where both guys, everything is on the line especially because they dislike each other so much,” added the UFC CEO.

This time, however, the boss has a good feeling as Du Plessis has a juggernaut kind of fighting style and Adesanya has amazing striking prowess. With the intense heat between the fighters and the buildup to the fight which is already reaching its limit, the boss also highlighted the stakes of the same.

White continued, “…if he can beat Izzy and bring that belt back to South Africa, obviously you know we’ll do an event there. And if Izzy can retain and win the title, it’s huge for him and his legacy, not retain but regain.” Who do you think is going to win at UFC 305? Drop your predictions in the comments below.
