Dricus Du Plessis just put an end to the debate of who is the real African fighter. He won at UFC 305 againstIsrael Adesanya and it seems like their animosity has finally ended with the match. Just like DDP showed respect for Izzy and his parents, the same was reciprocated.

Adesanya was not saty and he paid his respects to his opponent. Let’s take a look!

The latter even spoke during the post-fight press conference and said that he was ready for a rematch, but still mentioned how he had a lot of respect for his opponent. So it seems like they are ready for the next chapter, but the hatred is gone.

Adesanya posted on Instagram, “I’m happy I got to fight again, appreciate all the energy from yous. Congrats @dricusduplessis, thank you for your honest words and speaking your truth. No matter what, Africa won tonight! DDP, you have the torch…light the fire and inspire!”

On top of that there has been a new update that the Canadian rapper Drake lost a bet. He had decided to bet on Izzy but unfortunately, lost but he’s always faithful to his Nigerian Kiwi fighter. However the rift between the fighters subsided.

Since all was well in the UFC world and the beef finally subsided even Joe Rogan was happy. He started his JRE companion show on a high note.

He could start his show on a positive note and the 57 year old said, “They worked it out [Adesanya and Du Plessis]. This is cool, too.” Adesanya even made the whole ordeal, more fun, loving by quoting a line from the Wolf of Wall Street. He said, “I’m not f***ing leaving.”

Brian Simpson also gave all the compliments to Izzy fight his impeccable speech after the fights every time. He recalled what the former champion had said after UFC 287. “Let’s not forget Izzy possibly the greatest post-fight speech of all time when he beat Alex. Bro that sh*t gives me chills,” he added.

However Jaime Vernon noticed that as soon as the fight ended, the Nigerian formal champion removed his gloves. This prompted him to think that he might retire. However Joe Rogan was not in agreement and said, “He might just be taking his gloves off cos’ the fight’s over.”
