Russia’s Amru Magomedov is next in line after Islam MakhachevKhabib Nurmagomedov, and Umar Nurmagomedov. For the uninformed, this fighter last faced Jakhongir Jumaev and won the fight. He has an impressive record of winning all his fights, which amounts to 7-0 at the moment. The 24-year-old is slowly getting into the game and also gaining some attention as he trains under the best Dagestani UFC fighters.

The lightweight fighter is already catching the attention of the media, as Javier Mendez was recently asked about him, and the coach has a lot of expectations from the young man.

With most of the fighters hailing from Russia, this team has gained notable achievements and made champions like Islam Makhachev, aka the Eagle, and Umar Nurmagomedov. With their starfighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, who retired in 2021 and is now coaching them, more fighters are emerging victorious from this camp. One of them is Amru Nurmagomedov, according to Javier Mendez.

When he was asked about the young fighter, the head coach of AKA said, “Yes, Amru Magomedov is ready for big things.” 100% ready in July, he will defend his belt in UAE and then I expect that we will soon see him in big things promotions. I have high expectations from him in terms of skills.”

The coach declared that his skillset is similar to Makhachev, Usman, and Umar. However, his style differs from that of Khabib Nurmagomedov. Even his coach and former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov had declared him the best in their camp.

Nurmagomedov trains fighters at his gym, and his first star pupil was Islam Makhachev. Now he has another fighter who is slowly becoming the star, and it is Amru Magomedov. The lightweight fighter has already won seven fights, and with Nurmagomedov’s coaching, he might become a star.

The retired Hall of Famer declared the 24-year-old his new best fighter. I hold on to it myself and also share… the best lightweight in the world (of unknown fighters),” he declared in his Instagram story. The young man became the UAE Warriors lightweight champion in the first round of the fight and submitted Jumaev. Now it will be interesting to see who will be his opponent in the next fight
