Islam Makhachev successfully defended his lightweight title against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 284. However, following his win, Dan Hooker accused the Dagestan native of using intravenous (IV) liquid. But now, ‘The Hangman’ claims that USADA is targeting him for the IV liquid accusation on Makhachev. The lightweight champion’s manager has called out Hooker on social media.
The 33-year-old recently made an appearance in a recent video posted ‘The AllStar’ YouTube Channel. He claims that a stranger has been knocking at his doors and he has been getting frequent visits from a USADA official.
Hooker said, “I’ve almost had 50 knocks at my door, and that’s a stranger coming into your house, asking you to pull down your pants and stare at your d**k.”

Hooker stated that he was not going to stay silent. He added, “You Think I’m gonna sit silent while other guys are skirting the rules when I got some stranger knocking at my door, asking me to pull my pants down? I ain’t playing this game.”
However, combat sports journalist Amy Kaplan believes that ‘The Hangman’ may be lying about this situation.
Islam Makhachev’s manager claps back at Dan Hooker on social media
Amy Kaplan shared a post on Twitter, showing that there is no record of any kind of drug tests on Dan Hooker in the USADA’s database. She produced screenshots of her search, which did not include any tests involving the New Zealand fighter in 2023. Moreover, Islam Makhachev‘s manager Rizvan Magomedov replied to the journalist’s tweet and wrote: “Guy [Dan Hooker] is full of sh*t, simple as that.”

Magomedov has maintained his stand on the fact that he believes the 33-year-old is trying to get some attention by calling the lightweight champ a cheater. He had earlier dismissed ‘The Hangman’s claim IV-use claims last month and told the media that Hooker‘s claims were ‘bulls**t’. There were also many fans who shared the same sentiment as Rizvan Magomedov toward Dan Hooker.
