The UAE will host the biggest card of the UFC this year. UFC 294 will be held on October 21 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE. For the main event of the bout, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski will rematch lightweight champion Islam Makhachev on short notice for a chance at the double championship. This will also help him become the best active fighter in the UFC, edging out even the heavyweight champion and, for many, the greatest mixed martial artist ever Jon Jones.

If their first fight is any indication, the rematch promises to be an absolute thriller. Although the Dagestani walked away with the win via a unanimous decision, many felt ‘Volk’ had won. The Aussie had outclassed Makhachev on the feet and even managed to knock his opponent down in the final round.

This, of course, has excited fans who would perhaps be thankful that Charles Oliveira, originally supposed to face Makhachev at UFC 294, pulled out due to injury. Whoever wins the fight, it is clear that fans are the real winners of UFC 294. And you could be a double winner using your understanding of the sport by predicting the winner and winning big on DraftKings. Not to mention, nothing makes a fight more interesting than having some money on your favorite fighter.

How the bookmakers see the UFC 294 main event going

Islam Makhachev would vary from Alexander Volkanovski in their rematch. Many feel that the Dagestani taking the featherweight champion too lightly last time around was the reason behind the close fight. But this time around, analysts expect to see Makhachev try to submit Volkanovski.

Makhachev himself, in the pre-fight press conference hours ago, spoke about Volkanovski being difficult to knockout due to his strength and toughness. The lightweight champion did, however, promise to try his level best to stop the Aussie via submission. Volkanovski has spoken about backing his skills all the way and is confident he can win off the back of his superior striking. DraftKings has given Makhachev the edge, with -5.5 odds.
