In a recent interview with UFC.com, Michael Chandler had a lot to say about the next lightweight title fight. ‘Iron’ had positive things to say about both the fighters. However, DC only played a small part of Chandler’s interview where the latter was talking about Volkanovski’s possibility to win the decision against Makhachev.

Makhachev initially had an ‘I Don’t Care’ attitude, saying “He (Chandler) now has big money fight, let him enjoy”. The lightweight champ also took several verbal shots at Michael Chandler and called him out for his recent losses. When Daniel Cormier labeled Chandler as smart, Makhachev sarcastically said “He lose last 3 fights, very smart”.

Apart from that, the lightweight champ even called out Michael Chandler’s fighting style. “When people watch the (Chandler’s) fight, they think this guy never trains”, according to the 31-year-old. It seems like Chandler‘s prediction did not go down well with Makhachev.
