Islam Makhachev’s Daughter: His Special Bond and Missing Her During Training

Makhachev shares a deep bond with his daughter, but his demanding fighting career often keeps him away from her. Since rising to stardom in the UFC, his schedule has become even more packed with fights, media duties, and promotional commitments. This has left little time for family. The prolonged absences have taken an emotional toll on him and have made him feel guilty about missing out on key moments in his daughter’s life.

After his dominant win over Charles Oliveira at UFC 280, the lightweight champion revealed his longing to spend more time with his loved ones, especially his daughter. Makhachev acknowledged that the rigorous nature of training camps and global travel has kept him from watching her grow. While he also expressed a desire to reconnect with his parents, he admitted that being separated from his daughter has been the hardest part of his journey. And he had more to say.

While he continues to dominate the UFC’s lightweight division, Makhachev’s heartfelt comments showed another side of him.
