Who would have believed that Alex Pereira could ever be defeated, that too, in terms of punching power? The Brazilian is one of the most terrifying strikers in the division and his record is proof of that. ‘Poatan’ holds a record of a 75% KO/TKO rate in his UFC fights, which highlights his biggest strength. However, he now sits in the second spot in terms of power as a popular streamer and internet personality ‘IShowSpeed’ has dethroned him.
The pair recently met at the ‘Fanatics Fest,’ and the streamer pulled off something that not many have done to date. Speed outshined the light heavyweight champion in terms of power, but injured himself in the process. Let us take a closer look at what exactly happened.

The whole incident caught the attention of the fans when UFC CEO Dana White shared the video on his Instagram Story. Alex Pereira was the first one to step up to the punching machine to test his brutal power. The former dual champion unleashed a powerful strike and landed with an impressive score of 907. However, his record was very short-lived after Speed tried his hands at it.
Comparing him to ‘Poatan’ there is a massive difference in their physicality. However, he surprised everyone with his power when he recorded a score of 921, beating the Brazilian. UFC CEO Dana White was highly impressed by Speed and his punching power. What followed was intense pain for the streamer as he faced massive cramps in his calves.
The 19-year-old took to his YouTube channel to share a video where he could be seen in massive trouble. During the video, he said, “Oh s..t this hurt. Oh f..k. It’s my calf. F..k this s..t hurt. Oh, it’s tight. It feels so tight. Ah so tight. Oh it feels like it’s oh my god. It feels like a blood clot. It’s so tight. Oh, I never felt this before. Let me walk it off let me walk it off. No, I am not hurt, it just feels tight. I just jumped I just jumped. I jumped super high then I got a cramp.”
Fortunately, he recovered from the cramps and it seems he now wants to try his hand at MMA. The 19-year-old also has an opponent, but Dana White feels his choice is not correct.
