MMA is a game full of surprises, you never know what will happen in a fight. Just a few months back, we saw Iranian MMA athlete Ali Heibati kick a ring girl last month, and now, in a Czech Republic MMA event, fighter Lukas Bukovaz made a significant life decision after a loss, which unfortunately backfired for him.

After losing the fight Bukavoz, slumped to his knees in the center of the arena. With 20,000 cheering as his witness, he proposed to his longtime girlfriend. However, his joy was short-lived. In a move that surprised the crowd, she declined his proposal. Speaking in Czech, she said something, when translated into English, meant” After all that’s happened between us, I don’t think this is a good idea. So, my answer is no.”

Things got weird after Bukovaz popped the question, and his girlfriend, who wasn’t feeling it shut him down. Out of nowhere, Bukovaz’s coach comes storming outside the ring and dousing the girlfriend with water. She wasn’t having any of it, and stormed off, leaving everyone speechless. The whole thing was chaotic, to say the least, and even the crowd got a kick out of this unexpected drama in their love lives.

Meanwhile, fans were further drawn into the controversy. One made a lighthearted remark about the post-fight awkwardness: Trip home gonna be awkward. Another fan offered masculine encouragement: He deserves better.“Keep your head up champ. Focus on yourself and get your wins.”

However, in-cage proposals aren’t a new concept. Famous MMA fighters like UFC’s Alexander Gustafsson have done it before, with some acceptance. But every situation is different. We don’t know the full story between this couple, and hopefully, things get resolved soon.
