But along with Ricci, the Irish boxer has another connection with the UFC: Dana White. The UFC boss has praised Walsh for his exciting style and thinks he has the potential to be a massive star.
In a talk with MMA Fighting, Ricci revealed that her boyfriend did not like fighting in the squared ring. She said, “He doesn’t like boxing, he only does it because he’s good. His dream, what he really wants to do, is to fight MMA. He doesn’t even follow boxing that much, he does it because he’s really good at it. He really wants to come to MMA.”
No wonder the UFC head honcho has his eyes on Walsh. Ricci also revealed that she trains with her boyfriend. However, Walsh can often be seen training and helping Tony Ferguson. In November 2023, Tabatha Ricci had stated in a conversation with MMA Fighting, “Dana White loves him…We train together, and he’s always training and helping with Tony Ferguson in camp, doing some jiu-jitsu and playing around. I do think he will come to MMA in the future.”
