When the fight between Manel Kape and Muhammad Mokaev was announced a few months ago, the Portuguese flyweight claimed that he was planning to put on a “masterclass” against the 23-year-old English fighter. However, there was an instance when fans believed that the fight may not materialize at all!
We’re just a week away from the UFC’s return to the United Kingdom, and the fans over there cannot wait to witness two UFC champions of their own putting up their title grabs. Meanwhile, a screenshot of the UFC 304 card’s graphic that popped up during the recent Fight Night broadcast has been making rounds on social media. Interestingly, there was no mention of either Manel Kape or Muhammad Mokaev. But for now, it is unconfirmed whether the fight is off or not.
On the contrary, the UFC’s website has not removed the fight between Manel Kape and Muhammad Mokaev’s flyweight battle. We waited to see if the UFC is really considering removing an English fighter’s matchup from the English-heavy UFC 304 card. But Manel Kape vs Muhammad Mokaev is still on. However, it has now been placed under the prelims card.

Allegedly, ‘Starboy’ once busted Mokaev’s head open
During a recent interview, Brazilian fighter Jean Silva revealed details about a lesser-known incident that took place at the UFC PI. Before registering his sixth straight UFC win against Alex Perez, Muhammad Mokaev allegedly had an altercation with Manel Kape. Silva claims that the Portuguese busted open the English fighter with his elbow and also added a headbutt.
“Manel Kape hit [Muhammad] Mokaev here outside the gym a while ago. He elbowed Mokaev in the head on the street bro. Bro, he caught Mokaev at the entrance here to the [UFC] PI, he headbutted him and elbowed him, in the street. He opened Mokaev’s head a week before his fight,” Jean Silva told media outfit, ‘Ag Fight’.
