The feud between Khamzat Chimaev and Khabib Nurmagomedov
Tensions started brewing between both of them after Chimaev said in an Instagram live session that he could smash Nurmagomedov. ‘The Eagle’ understandably did not like what the younger fighter said. This led to a series of two-and-fro arguments and mockery between them. Many fans thought that an epic fight between both the undefeated fighters would happen soon.
However, Chimaev, later on, apologized to Khabib. He clarified the reason behind what he said and accepted his mistake. He said, “Some guy write something about me like, ‘Khabib going to smash you’, and I answer for this guy, but it was my wrong because I answer this bulls**t guy that nobody knows.”
Their manager, Ali Abdelaziz, confirmed and had updated TSN on the relationship between the fighters. He said, “And Khamzat, it take him three months to apologize about it. I respect him so much because fighters have so much ego, right? But I [knew] he was gonna do the right thing. Khabib is like an older brother to him.”
“We all have this kind of ranking among us. And he come out, and he right the wrong, and what is he gonna say about the guy? He put his ego to the side, and he apologized, and apology’s accepted.”
