Jon Jones is finally back for a challenge against Stipe Miocic, which was a fight scheduled more than a year ago, and is looking forward to adding another big win to his legacy. There’s no question how much fans are aware of ‘Bones’s accolades in the UFC, but there’s never been much noise about the personal aspect of Jones’ life, especially about his significant other, which is what we’re focusing on in this article.
With the pressure that comes with being in the spotlight, the former light heavyweight champion has his family, who often lie under the radar. For the curious souls who want to know more about them, let us take a closer look at his long-time fiancee, Jessie Moses.

Well, the answer to this can’t be given definitely. But the sure thing that can be said is that Jon Jones had a relationship with a New York native lady named Jessie Moses. Jones had also made a few public appearances with her, but very limited in number. Despite many people labeling Moses as Jon Jones’ wife, the truth is that they never actually married after their engagement.
Jessie Moses was born to her mother, Sheila Ryan, on 12 September 1987. There was no information found regarding her paternal identity. She was born in Endicott, New York, and also attended Endicott High School for her initial education. After schooling, she also joined Broome Community College in Binghamton, New York, for her degree in Political Science. Moses didn’t opt for a career.
Instead, Moses became a full-time stay-at-home parent dedicated to raising her kids after marriage. Her ex-husband used to work as a bouncer and also trained in MMA to become a professional. ‘Bones’ met his future love during their time at Endicott High School. Moses also attended the same institution and a relationship between the two developed in 2005. However, this term of their relationship didn’t last long.

Soon after, ‘Bones’ was reported to be dating a different woman, but that relationship, too, couldn’t hold strong for long. Jones split up with his partner reportedly after a few years to reunite with Moses. Since then, the couple had been together until ‘Bones’ made it public that Moses had left him forever in late 2021. This announcement came after Jones got into trouble with the law for alleged domestic assault.
Post the incident, the fighter came forward to declare that he would stay away from alcohol as the circumstances got too turbulent in his personal life.
Do Jon Jones and Jessie Moses have kids?
Despite never marrying his fiance Moses, Jon Jones has three daughters with her. His eldest daughter, Leah, was born in 2008, followed by the birth of his two other daughters, Carmen Nicole Jones in 2009 and Olivia Haven Jones in 2013.
Jones is a loving father and once talked about his daughters, stating, “With the girls being such a young age, not seeing them for even two weeks, I miss out on a lot.” He also revealed, “They change so much in that short amount of time. We Skype every day. I make funny videos for them to see Daddy.” Moreover, Jones also has a son as well.
Is Jessie Moses the mother of Jon Jones’ son?
Jon Jones shocked the whole world by announcing, out of nowhere, in June 2024, that he had been granted 50/50 custody of his son. This, of course, took the UFC world by surprise and they were left scratching their heads over the sudden appearance of Jones’ hitherto-unknown son. However, Moses is not the boy’s mother.
After all, Jones has seemingly never talked about having a son before. As far as fans could find, there was only one indication Jones had a son when the former light heavyweight champion referenced having four children on Joe Rogan’s podcast during a 2016 appearance. Even then, he didn’t mention one of those four children was a boy. No details about Jones’ son, not even his name or who his mother is are currently known.
The 2021 controversy featuring Jon Jones and his wife
Jon Jones was never married. However, a lot of people mistake Jessie Moses for his wife. Jones had been engaged to Moses for a span of 9 years. ‘Bones’ reportedly proposed to Moses on Easter in 2013 and got engaged shortly. Even after more than a decade of being engaged and having three children together, the couple has not tied the knot yet.
Moreover, after a horrible incident a few years ago, it seemed the two would never get married as Moses left Jones. In late 2021, horrifying reports emerged that police had been called by one of Jones’s daughters because Jon Jones had assaulted Moses and left her bleeding. Moses, however, chose not to press charges, and Jones was charged only with a minor misdemeanor for banging his head into a police car that had come to arrest him.
In February 2022, ‘Bones’ took to Twitter and publically announced in a now-deleted tweet, “My fiancée left me about two months ago. Today she finalized that she won’t be coming back. If you are a Jon Jones hater, have a toast. I feel like sh*t.” However, it seems the two got back together shortly after.
Are Jones and Jessie Moses still together?
Jon Jones has a big, loving family, and having that with his high school sweetheart is an even happier position to be in. Apparently, the couple understands that, and despite having rifts in their relationship, Jones and Moses decide to get back together.

Currently, their relationship and their children are in a great place. People were unaware that ‘Bones’ had indeed got back with Jessie Moses, but he had never spoken about it, and also, he had been away from the action, so things went quite under the radar. But the smoke cleared when we saw Moses with Jon Jones after his triumphant heavyweight debut.
‘Bones’ celebrated UFC 285 return with his fiancee
Jon Jones, after over a decade of dominance at light heavyweight, where he earned his GOAT credentials, decided to go out with a bang. The New Mexico resident, in an attempt to shore up his already great legacy, chose to move up and initially started conversations about fighting Francis Ngannou. But in the wake of ‘The Predator’s UFC departure, he decided to take on Ciryl Gane and win the heavyweight title before retiring.

This is precisely what the New York native did in March 2023, submitting Ciryl Gane to become the heaviest champion of the UFC in his very first fight in the division. And to celebrate the victory with him in the octagon was Jessie Moses, who seems to have decided to give Jones another chance. Why Moses and Jones chose to get back together, however, is unknown, as neither of them has spoken about it yet.
It’ll be interesting to see if Jessie Moses joins Jon Jones if he manages to beat the resilient Stipe Miocic this weekend at UFC 309. Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
