During the UFC 280 post-fight press conference in Abu Dhabi, the UFC president, Dana White, revealed that Conor McGregor would have to complete six months of anti-doping tests to return to action.
Dana White confirmed Conor McGregor’s absence from the USADA pool
At the UFC 280 press conference, Dana White confirmed that Conor McGregor was out of USADA’s testing pool. White also affirmed that ‘The Notorious’ will have to wait for six months; before stepping back into the Octagon.
United States Anti-Doping testing pool necessitates all active athletes to be enrolled in it. However, Conor McGregor is not in the testing pool. He has been recovering from the spine-chilling injury for over a year now. He broke his shin during his last bout against Dustin ‘Diamond’ Poirier at UFC 264 and hasn’t entered the Octagon since.
Also, any fighter who left the testing pool needs to complete six months of testing before their return to the arena.
Fans reacted to Conor McGregor’s absence from the testing pool
Although McGregor kept teasing his followers about his return to the UFC, his latest fight could only be scheduled after 6 months.
A tweet by MMAFighting.com said, “Dana White, USADA confirm Conor McGregor needs 6 months of drug testing before UFC return.” Fans broke out as they reacted to McGregor’s listing in the rankings, even though his name was not in the USADA pool.
Here’s what fans had to say:
is it the ol' Vitor and Brock "exemption" where the UFC basically just hides his test results?? lol

It's really wild how McGregor is still ranked at lightweight despite not winning there in six years AND officially being an inactive fighter.

Nobody has accused him of doping during his fightikg career.
But he's obviously on gear NOW.— CaptainKangajew (@CaptainKangaJew) October 26, 2022
If I were going to be unable to compete for 12-18 months due to a broken leg, I’d leave the testing pool too. Why put yourself through unannounced blood tests and constant whereabouts requirements for no reason?

He signed on to this lame movie to hide the fact he’s on roids and growth hormone to heal the leg. No other reason to not be enrolled in usada. Even John Hathaway is still in the testing pool lol
