Most UFC fans might agree that there’s no one comparable to Conor McGregor when it comes to creating headlines in MMA. The 35-year-old has a habit of creating massive crowd frenzies, both through his presence at various events and brash social media shenanigans. After his years of actively competing inside the octagon, McGregor still keeps up with the UFC PPVs with his often nonchalant tweets. Recently, the Irishman took the online path to create headlines once more.
After the UFC 291 main event ended with Justin ‘The Highlight’ Gaethje claiming the BMF title, McGregor made his case of being the real ‘BMF’ of the game. He posted a series of abrasive tweets, implying he could get the better of the newly crowned ‘BMF.’
However, this action from McGregor has now left the UFC community in a dilemma. A large chunk of fans might be questioning the fate of McGregor’s prospective bout with his TUF rival, Michael Chandler, now that he looks to be in pursuit of the ‘BMF’ title and its keeper, Justin Gaethje.

Conor McGregor’s scathing attack on Justin Gaethje after UFC 291
Although this isn’t the first time that McGregor has expressed such brashness after UFC PPVs, his iteration still created a massive buzz. UFC 291 at Salt Lake City, Utah, came to an end with a superb victory for Justin Gaethje. ‘The Highlight’ finished off his rival, Dustin Poirier, with a highlight reel head kick in the second round of the bout.
Right after Gaethje’s victory moment, came McGregor’s tweet. It stated, “Justin, I’ll slap you around”.

However, this was far from all McGregor had to say. A triplet of minutes later, McGregor posted another tweet strengthening his claim of being the “real ‘BMF'” of the UFC.
The second ‘Mystic Mac’ tweet read, “I’m the real bmf, he can fight for pennies if he wants but I want spirits, I call the shots, I’m in it to launch shots, f**k chandler, you want it call for it.”

McGregor turned into a true Irishman to make one more claim about being the “real BMF” of the UFC. He decided to put out the next tweet in his native, Irish, language. When translated, it means, “I’m a bad mother fu**er. How are you”

Although McGregor definitely managed to clear his intentions of fighting for the ‘BMF’ title with these tweets. His action put a question mark on another probable event that the fans had been waiting for.
Is Conor McGregor ditching Michael Chandler fight for a shot at Justin Gaethje’s BMF strap?
Well, looking at the turn of events that have happened after the coveted Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler bout was announced, an affirmation might be the correct answer to this question.
The UFC scheduled the McGregor vs Chandler bout for the last UFC PPV of this year, somewhere in December. But the expectations of this bout took a major blow right at the start. McGregor failed to enlist himself inside the USADA testing pool within their given deadline. This could restrict him from competing inside the octagon this year.

Also, ‘The Irishman’s’ American opponent, Michael Chandler, looked quite desperate to materialize this bout.
