Can Iron Mike's legendary punch still put Jake Paul to sleep despite the age gap?

Somehow, despite the stark difference in their age, athleticism, and health, many ardently believe Mike Tyson could beat Jake Paul. After all, all ‘Iron Mike’ needs is to land one punch, one lapse of judgment on Paul’s part, to catch him with his nightmarish power and end the fight. The duo, of course, are set to fight tonight at Arlington, Texas in a pro boxing match, which will be Tyson’s first since retiring. And UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis is among those who truly believe this with all their heart.

Responding to Sean Strickland’s comment blasting Paul for “fighting a 60-year-old,” ‘DDP’ expressed full confidence in Tyson. “Don’t always agree with you but I second that! Still believe Iron Mike KO’s him,” Du Plessis wrote.

However, that confidence may be extremely misplaced. For all his size and power advantage, Tyson is 58, three decades older than Paul. Not to mention he has a history of health issues and has been seen using a wheelchair on occasion. All Paul needs to do is get on his bike for a few rounds and test his gas tank, which more likely than not, would be enough to tire out the boxing phenom.

But Tyson’s peek-a-boo style was made to prevent opponents from getting away and close the distance in a flash. In addition, the press conference saw some fireworks that undoubtedly motivated ‘Iron Mike’ to end Paul.

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s fight becomes personal with slap-gate

Things have heated up between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul ahead of their much-awaited clash. Tyson, after all, had that ready-to-kill-someone look in his eyes at the final press conference, as he brusquely refused to answer questions asked of him. Things took a wild turn as Tyson full-on slapped Paul as they walked up to face off with each other for the final time.

Have an interesting take?

Apparently, Paul had stepped on Tyson’s toes, whether by accident or deliberately we do not know. But that was enough for Tyson, who seemed extremely wound up and dangerous, to viciously smack ‘The Problem Child’. Tyson is in no mood to play around, and will almost definitely try to hurt Jake Paul tonight. Paul, it must be said, took the slap remarkably well, and barely reacted to it. But it has made the clash very personal for both men.

“I didn’t even feel it. He’s angry. He’s an angry little elf. Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute slap, buddy, but tomorrow you’re getting knocked the f**k out… He hits like a b**h, it’s personal now, he must die!” Paul promised. In short, the stakes are very high for Tyson-Paul, and it seems increasingly likely that someone is getting knocked out. What do you think about Dricus Du Plessis’ prediction for the Tyson-Paul fight?
