Khamzat Chimaev is gearing up for his return and his first fight at middleweight against Paulo Costa. Both will lock horns in Abu Dhabi at UFC 294 in October. For this fight, ‘Borz’ has added a considerable amount of muscle, which had Joe Rogan take notice. Similarly, UFC legend Chael Sonnen also mentioned about it in a recent YouTube video.

He said, “When I look at Paulo Costa, and I am judging a book by its cover, I’ve never grabbed a hold of him, but boy, does he ever look strong. Like, intimidatingly strong.”

Furthermore, as Chimaev was nearing a return, he shared pictures on social media of his new physique for the middleweight showdown. Sonnen mentioned that and said, “And now we’re seeing photographs coming out of Chimaev.” He also drew attention to Joe Rogan’s analysis of Chimaev’s new physique.

In a recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Joe Rogan was taken aback by ‘Borz’s new physique. Chael Sonnen took notice of it and claimed to have an appreciation for the 56-year-old focusing on shedding some light on that. ‘The American Gangster’ said, “Joe Rogan did a piece on this, where he was showing the pictures of Chimaev. [He talked] about the man, ‘This guy’s a beast and this guy is huge’, and I appreciate that Joe went down that route.”

Sonnen then mentioned a thing that both Khamzat Chimaev and Paulo Costa have in common. Both fighters have a history of missing weight for their fights. Chael Sonnen believes that they have no respect for the weigh-ins. The UFC legend added, “These two guys do have one thing in common. Chimaev and Paulo Costa have one competitive piece of nature in common, which is neither one of them respects the scale.”

‘The American Gangster’ believes that this is an important issue that surrounds their upcoming fight in Abu Dhabi. Moreover, he stated that people are not talking about who would win the fight. They are talking more about the chances of either or both of them missing weight at UFC 294. He further “[If] you’re going to take odds on this, are they going to make weight, right? Is one of them going to miss weight or are they both going to miss weight?”
