Alex Pereira was last seen inside the Octagon at UFC 295 when he won the vacant light heavyweight title against Jiri Prochazka. Since then, the champion has been waiting for his return and finally got his opportunity at UFC 300. However, it now seems that ‘Poatan’ is hungry for more. UFC 301 is scheduled to take place in Brazil and he wants to feature in it as well. Thomson, in his recent episode of the Weighing In podcast, shared the details of the entire agreement.
He said, “I also heard that what’s his name gets out of Jamal UFC 300 that he wants to be on that card Alex Pereira. I guess apparently that was the part of his contract negotiation if he gets the win and comes out healthy that he’s allowed to fight on that fight card. That was apparently part of his agreement to fighting on 300. So we’ll see.”

The Brazilian fans will be desperate to witness the former two-division champion in action. However, it all depends on the result of UFC 300. Pereira recently shared training footage of his devastating left hook on Instagram. While the fans enjoyed the video his former opponent Sean Strickland seemed a bit devastated.

Alex Pereira and Polyana Viana recently took to their Instagram to share a video of a fun sparring session. The video highlighted the devastating power of Pereira’s left hook. The interaction was fun but it quickly turned out to be a nightmare for former middleweight champion Sean Strickland. ‘Tarzan’ had previously faced the Brazilian at UFC 276 in July 2022 and was knocked out in the first round. Remembering the instance he commented, “Ptsd coming back.” The online fans then asked him for an explanation for the comment and the former champion answered.

He said, “He hides it well, the punch you don’t see is the one that puts you down. Low hands, small body movements. He hides his hooks very well…..,” Pereira is indeed one of the best strikers in the UFC and has dreaded one-punch power.
