After retiring from the sport, ‘The Eagle’ bought a Russian-based promotion to the Gorilla FC, which reportedly cost him around $1 million.

Nurmagomedov purchased the Dagestan-based MMA promotion as a platform to introduce excellent Russian MMA fighters to the world. Later, he named the promotion Eagle Fighting Championship to resemble his moniker. And also wore the promoter’s cap to grow his new business.
