Nickal said, “No, I heard that he’s fighting in like two months. They’re doing it in August or September. I’m doing the sphere in September that would be crazy…I think the flights gonna happen. I just think it’s going to happen later this year.”

McGregor released a statement on Instagram about his injury and he also said he would come back better and healthier, as his fans deserve to see him fight at his best.

Chandler, on the other hand, is ready to fight whenever possible. Discussing his perspective, Nickal said that Michael Chandler wanted the limelight and there was no way he was letting go of this opportunity, and the longer it is prolonged, the more hype the fight will get.

Even though Nickal is positive about McGregor’s return in a few months, Dana White might have to work hard to find the right venue for this potentially historic clash between McGregor and Chandler.

The Mexican Independence Day is not just a day of celebration for the Mexican people, it’s also a date for Dana White and his promotion to create a new edition of UFC. The promotion found great success with the first edition of Noche UFC. This year the UFC head honcho wants to make it an even larger live combat sports event in the “Sphere” in Las Vegas.

One would think that the Sphere would surely be perfect for Conor McGregor to come back to the UFC. But it’s hard for Dana White to accommodate the notorious at the Sphere because certain things regarding UFC 306 are already in motion.

According to UFC’s famous reporter Ariel Helwani, White would love to bring McGregor into the Sphere but the promotion has already decided some fights for this year. “There’s the whole, you know, Mexican Independence Day weekend thing and all that… he’s always paid homage to the Mexican fans. He’s always shown them love,” Helwani said.

By the looks of it, the Mexican Independence Day is not the one for McGregor to come back but as Bo Nickal said, he might be making his 2nd debut on August 31 or September 28th.

With McGregor not being there right now, the new main event for UFC 303 is a rematch between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka for the 105-pound category. Who do you think is going to win?
