UFC lightweight star Dustin Poirier took to social media and touted his latest brand deal partnership with Samsung in a short clip. ‘The Diamond’ has become one of the biggest stars in the sport ever since he picked up back-to-back wins over Conor McGregor. Now a star in his own right, Poirier has secured tie-ups with some mega brands and it doesn’t get bigger than Samsung.
The video grab sees Poirier unveil the new Samsung GalaxyZ Fold 3 and the unboxing process is unique, to say the least. The Louisiana native can be seen literally punching a boxing pad in a futuristic gym and eventually acquiring the Samsung device. Labeled as a kind of ‘Boxing Unboxing’, the advertisement/clip is a unique integration of a fighter and a brand.

Dustin Poirier: The sky is the limit
‘The Diamond’ has been in the UFC for a meaningful period of time and has fought some of the best fighters in company history. It’s undeniable that his entry into the zone of stardom was felicitated by none other than Conor McGregor when they fought.

However, to Dustin Poirier’s credit, not only did he manage to win two straight fights against the Irishman, but he also carried himself like a star. With increased interview appearances, the launch of a hotsauce brand, and his continued charity work, Poirier became a marquee name. It’s no surprise that a brand like Samsung has reached out to Poirier for a collaboration.
Furthermore, Dustin Poirier has the opportunity to capture the acclaimed lightweight title in December. He is scheduled to face Charles Oliveira and could further bolster his place in the ranks with a win. Having a belt over his shoulder will go a long way in attracting even more endorsement deals going forward.
