Hence, there is no doubt that the country has made significant contributions to the fighting world.

Recently, a video of two Brazilians fighting in a cage went viral on the internet. According to reports, the fight involved the mayor of a small town in northern Brazil and a former city councilor.

After having an issue with Peixoto, Silva challenged him to a fight to settle their differences in the cage. The bout took place on Sunday in Borba, Brazil. Silva threw the first punch and the first leg kick to commence the fight, before taking his opponent to the fence. They fought until the final bell and embraced once the dust had settled.
Even though their skills weren’t the best, they surely entertained their locals, and those who watched the video. Peixoto (the mayor) defeated Mirico (the previous city councilor) via a split decision.
What is the Brazilian MMA scene like?
Brazil has given us some great fighters such as Jose Aldo, Anderson Silva, Charles Oliveira, and many more. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the most used martial arts in the MMA scene, which is native to the country. According to a 2012 report from Reuters, Brazil is a booming market for Mixed Martial Arts.

In the decade old report, a statement from Marshall Zelaznik, Managing Director of International Development for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), said, “Brazil has gone from being MMA’s fifth-biggest market to the third-biggest, behind the United States and Canada, in less than two years.”
