In Unexpected Turn of Events After Meghan Markle & Alex Cooper, Kim Kardashian Snatches Joe Rogan’s Throne From Spotify Charts

The UFC’s color commentator, Joe Rogan, is one of the most well-known faces of the entire company. The comedian has been in the company for over a decade and is even more popular than some UFC fighters. Rogan also hosts his own podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, which is a Spotify exclusive.

In his podcast, Rogan is joined by famed personalities from different spheres of life and they talk about stuff ranging from politics to sports and entertainment. ‘JRE’ had held onto the top spot of Spotify’s “Top Podcasts” list for quite some time.

But, recently it was dethroned as the popular American media personality, ‘Kim Kardashian’ claimed the top spot with her brand new ‘crime’ themed podcast, “The System”. Kardashian’s new podcast also displaced a lot of other podcasts as well apart from ‘JRE’.

‘The System’ dethrones several podcasts including ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’

Earlier this year Alex Cooper’s podcast, ‘Call Her Daddy’, also replaced JRE from the top spot. However, recent figures show that Rogan’s podcast had once more become the #1 Podcast on Spotify before being displaced by KK’s ‘The System’.

A lot of other podcasts also slipped down a spot on the ‘Top Podcasts’ list of Spotify. ‘The System’ currently tops the list followed by ‘JRE’ at #2, and ‘Call Her Daddy’ at the third spot.

Meghan Markle’s podcast “Archetypes,” had also surpassed ‘JRE’ previously, but it appears to have lost its hype as it took on the #4 spot on the list.

‘Archetypes’ was succeeded by ‘Huberman Lab’, ‘Crime Junkie’, and others at the following spots.

What is ‘The System’ about?

‘The System’ is a crime-based podcast where Kim Kardashian tries to understand the truth behind incorrectly convicted prisoners. The first season of ‘The System’ is about examining a case that involves ‘Kevin Keith‘, a murderer who has been convicted of a triple murder.

But, Kardashian is of the opinion that Keith is innocent and a victim of the system of conviction. Talking about the proceedings of Keith’s case, she also said, “I think you’ll be surprised by what you hear”.

Kardashian dug deep into Keith’s case and learned the exact happenings of it. She also talked to Keith and got to know his experiences. Her ultimate goal is to prove Keith’s innocence in this case and free him from all his charges.

But, with only 2 episodes airing and no further notice about the coming ones, the schedule of ‘The System’ is still in the haze. Although, weekly updates will be made to a resource page devoted to it. The hype behind ‘The System’ appears to be huge. But with such an unclear schedule, it will be interesting to see how long it can hold on to the #1 spot of Spotify’s ‘Top Podcasts’ list.

On the other hand, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ has seen a few ups and downs. Firstly, it was overtaken by Meghan Markle’s ‘Archetypes’ and then by Alex Cooper’s ‘Call Her Daddy’. But, ‘JRE’ came back strongly every time it was displaced. Before being dethroned by ‘The System’, ‘JRE’ still was the ‘Top Podcast’ on Spotify’s list. It will be interesting to see exactly how long can ‘The System’ hold on to the top spot. Will ‘JRE’ regain the top spot?
