The Dana White New year’s Eve controversy has rocked the UFC world. While Dana White has sent out an apology, UFC’s parent body Endeavor’s shares dropped by 6% following the controversy. Dana White had come under heavy criticism from fans after slapping his wife Anne White. The couple got engaged in an altercation on New Year’s Eve. While Anne White was seen to hit Dana White first, it was the UFC boss who was scorched for his behavior by fans. Former UFC Bantamweight champion Miesha Tate has defended the UFC President.

Tate took to Facebook to let her viewers know about the unfortunate incident. She strongly defended the promotion boss and appealed for shared accountability in cases where a man and woman are involved in a physical altercation.
Miesha Tate defends Dana White
Miesha Tate posted a message on Facebook, It read, “Women…please don’t hit men, men PLEASE don’t hit women.” The post also had a long message about her own views. Tate wrote, “If you don’t want to BE hit then don’t BE hitting for starters……. end of the story.“

‘Cupcake’ then added, “But I DO think women need to also be held accountable, if I strike a man (or woman) I am welcoming violence, I have instigated it. In this case, I would fully expect to get hit back. I do NOT understand why this is acceptable behavior.”
She further took a jab at the modern-day woke culture, she wrote, “If a woman cannot control her emotions and just decides to hit her man then what in the hell makes you think he will be able to control his after being hit?”
White has faced a severe backlash from fans

Dana White faced heavy criticism from fans after the images emerged. The financial repercussions have rung some alarm bells as Dana White‘s position as UFC president is being questioned. Dana White has been a staunch supporter of the prevention of domestic violence and has been very vocal about it. Although, he has found some voices of support too.
The incident has made him eat his words. However, White has apologized, and Anne has said that it was an unfortunate first for the couple. The fans, however, are divided about who was wrong and Miesha Tate has now blown the fire some more.
