The UFC pound-for-pound king Kamaru Usman is arguably one of the greatest fighters to fight inside the Octagon. The Nigerian is undefeated in the UFC and is currently on a 19-fight win streak in his MMA career. Usman is also the reigning welterweight champion, and has five successful title defenses under his belt, against some of the best fighters in the UFC.

Usman’s brand image has also been growing, as he’s stacking up rubies on his championship belt. The welterweight champion is now more popular than he has ever been. Usman recently took to Instagram to share pictures of himself hanging out with some of the most legendary soccer players in the world.

Usman shared pictures with the Brazilian football legends Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos. The UFC champion also met up with Real Madrid’s champions league winner, Eder Militao. Usman captioned the post, “Weekend with the Football Legends.”

Meeting soccer legends like Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos is almost every soccer fan’s dream. Hailing from the country of Nigeria, where soccer is extremely popular, Usman must be really proud to have come so far in his career and meet these legendary players.
What’s next for Kamaru Usman?
After coming off a dominant victory against Colby Covington, one of the toughest opponents he’s ever faced, Kamaru Usman is set to return to action this August. The Nigerian will take on the British fighter, Leon Edwards, and will headline the highly anticipated event on UFC 278.

Edwards and Kamaru Usman will be fighting each other for the second time in their professional careers at UFC 278. The first time they fought, Usman walked away with the unanimous decision win. However, that was back in 2015, and both fighters have come a long way since.
The main event of the upcoming UFC 278 pay-per-view (PPV) has been confirmed for Saturday, August 20th, 2022 at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.
