The Irish MMA fighter and former dual-weight champion, Conor McGregor, has been out of action for roughly a year. He suffered an unfortunate injury in his last outing against Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier at UFC 264. The Diamond managed to out-wrestle the former champion and rained a barrage out of strikes in the first.

However, fans were utterly shocked to witness McGregor making his return in the second as he suffered an unfortunate injury on his leg.

McGregor issued his interest in fighting welterweight kingpin Kamaru Usman
According to a recent report by the sun, Conor McGregor is no longer interested in the lightweight division. After losing 2 important bouts in 2021, the superstar is now aiming to challenge P4P (pound for pound) king and welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman.
He said,” believe that’s the fight to make. I believe myself and Usman for the 170lbs title for my comeback fight is the one I’m eyeballing. I’ve already won the 155lbs title, I got myself down to a lightweight frame…but I’m big now. I feel big, I feel strong, I feel healthy”

McGregor also stated that he can exploit a lot of holes in Usman’s game and dubbed him as “a jab happy, slumpy orthodox wrestle” and also stated he doesn’t have any submission skills whatsoever. Former champion feels there is no danger in facing him and he would love to once again shock the world to become the first three-weight champion.
