“In a Real Fight Khabib Destroys This Guy”: Resurfaced Video of Nate Diaz Claiming to “Slap” Khabib Nurmagomedov Leaves Fans in Splits

Nate Diaz‘s impatience and short temper had often landed him in huge trouble. He has gotten into a number of altercations in the past. By the end of each brawl, Diaz would end up facing severe consequences. One such brawl that shook the MMA community happened between him and retired UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov. Nurmagomedov and Diaz got into an ugly fight back in 2015. Both parties had a different version of the altercation. In August 2015, both fighters were present at the World Series of Fighting. The Stockton Slugger came to the event to watch his dear friend Jake Shields fight against Rousimar Palhares.

‘The Eagle’ and his team were present at the event to support the former UFC lightweight champion’s brother, Abubakar Nurmagomedov. During the event, a nasty brawl took place between Diaz and Nurmagomedov. According to the Stockton-native, he slapped ‘The Eagle’ on his face. The video of him native narrating the whole incident has surfaced once again. After coming across the 2019 video, fans could not resist reacting to it.

Fans react to Nate Diaz talking about slapping Khabib Nurmagomedov

 In October 2019, Nate Diaz talked to Ariel Helwani about what happened between him and Nurmagomedov. According to Diaz, ‘The Eagle’ and his team, which included 12 Russians, tried to insult Diaz and this led to the brawl between the two. At one point, Diaz lost his temper and ended up slapping the UFC Hall of Famer.

Diaz said, “When I ran into him and his team at the World Series Of Fighting they were taking a group picture because I was standing there watching Jake my friend fight and they took a picture a group picture with me behind them just to laugh at me like make fun of me. You know I’m saying and I’m watching my friend walk out trying to watch his fight and he is like ‘Come on man’ and they are all laughing like 12 Russians.“

He further added, “Yeah, I slapped him in his face. They are making fun of me. According to Diaz, Nurmagomedov was a coward who ran after getting slapped by him.

Nate Diaz’s brother, Nick Diaz, was also a part of the brawl. The Diaz brothers ended up getting a lifelong ban from WSOF events. Nonetheless, Diaz feels that ‘The Eagle’ badly provoked him’. After coming across the resurfaced video, fans were quick to react.

One of the fans felt that Nate Diaz was the scariest fighter.

A fan was not ready to believe Diaz’s version of the brawl.

Another fan also felt that Diaz was joking.

Some of the fans found it difficult to believe Diaz’s side of the story. According to them, Nurmagomedov is much stronger than Diaz. Whatever it may be, there was a lot of animosity. Interestingly, both fighters have retired from the UFC but still remain some of the biggest names in the sport.
