UFC commentator and podcast host, Joe Rogan, recently drew the ire of the fans after he uploaded a post on his social media about him trying out some new cuisine. Rogan, who is known to hunt his own elk meat, in his latest Instagram post was seen trying out some Korean Barbecue at a place called Gangnam Korean Barbecue.

Despite the JRE host being in high spirits praising the cuisine and even recommending it to his followers, many people in his Instagram comment section did not have a positive reaction to the post.

Joe Rogan captioned the post, saying, “Had a great meal at @gangnamkrnbbq in Austin! Awesome food and very nice people! I highly recommend it!” giving the place a huge shoutout. The video in the first slide had barbequed octopus while the second had a different kind of meat, also being barbequed. Korean BBQ is one of the most savory foods on this planet, appreciated by a huge population. However, the JRE podcast host somehow managed to make it seem a little unappetizing in his post, leading to fans critiquing him.

A post shared by Joe Rogan (@joerogan)

A fan questioned why he was eating an octopus and wasn’t on board with him, writing, “Joe what the hell are you eating man😢. We ride with you in a lot of things but bruh it’s a hard pass on this.” Meanwhile, a second fan made a reference to a film, quoting a line from the movie ‘Finding Nemo’ highlighting, “Fish are friends, not food.”

Another fan insinuated that Rogan was promoting animal cruelty and wrote, “Promoting animal cruelty, again. Will @joerogan ever evolve?”

This fan had a rather light-hearted reaction and wrote how he hasn’t been able to eat an octopus ever since watching the Netflix documentary, “My Octopus Teacher.” He wrote, “Ever since I saw my octopus teacher l haven’t been able to eat one.” The fan indirectly was relating an emotional connection to the animal and mentioning how its consumption would not be possible for him. One more fan was not a fan of Rogan’s meal and commented, “Stick to elk man wtf don’t eat those.”

A lot of fans going through the post asked a common question of whether the octopus was alive or not doing to its movement in the clip. They stated, “I’m sorry are those babies still alive?” and “Are those alive?” One fan wasn’t pleased with Rogan at all and wrote, “That’s disgusting disgusting. Least have common courtesy to kill it first. Octopuses are highly intelligent creatures.”

On a check-up with his doctor, it was revealed that the former Fear Factor host had traces of arsenic in his blood, which was caused by his overconsumption of sardines. Luckily for Rogan, once he cut down on the sardines, the arsenic was gone from his system. Given the commentator’s peculiar diet habits, what do you think about his experience this time?
